"She Began to Question"
June 2019, collage on paper
28 pages of feminist essays and art-journal excerpts from a period during my freshman year of college when I began to question the societal expectations that women are taught to conform to. This zine details my journey to deconstruct “norms” around beauty, acceptable female behavior, and religion. It challenges women to question what they perceive to be “normal” and calls men to not be complacent in the struggle that women face in society.
